I can assist you in keeping your gardens or grounds looking good all year round. From one off projects to on-going maintenance plans, I aim to provide a professional, efficient and friendly service that you will be delighted with!
From town gardens to country estates, I understand the needs of a wide range of garden types, styles and sizes....and their owners!
I have over 20 years experience in the industry. I have been a head gardener of some notable private and public gardens (Inc. Grade 2* listed Houghton Lodge), garden manager (Grade 2 Chawton House) and Head of Horticulture (Minstead Trust). I have a wide range of theory and practical qualifications, having studied with Sparsholt College and Oxford University. I have industry tickets for spraying, brush cutting, chainsaw work, tree surveying amongst others. I have been a regular guest on BBC Radio Solent, written for a number of newspapers and magazines and acted as a judge for village flower shows.
I use professional battery machinery, so no noisy engines, exhaust fumes, petrol etc. and I try to work in harmony with the environment and nature as much as possible.

Invoicing
I use Quickbooks Online, and invoices are sent through this system.
I send invoices weekly on Fridays by email.
Fast payment is appreciated and can be made by bank transfer only, giving clients and myself peace of mind that they are settled.
- Garden waste: I'm afraid I don't remove waste from gardens....I use your garden waste bins, compost facilities or put the waste in a designated place for you....
- Biosecurity: I regularly clean and disinfect my equipment to reduce the likelihood of spreading pests and disease between client's gardens....
Do I cover your area?
I am based in Winchester, Hampshire.
My general rule of thumb is to keep my clients within 5 miles of Winchester city centre.
I will travel further for one off, interesting jobs, especially if bribed with ginger cake and tea!
